Who are we?

 

Light Kindlers

We, the Light Kindlers, a dedicated team from Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus, Malaysia is organizing a charity event, "CHASING LIGHT" throughout the month of April 2014.We, pride ourselves as the Talent Management Group under the establishment of Student Experience dedicated to give back to the society.

 

The team strongly believe that every person has the potential to be far greater than just good. We want to use this platform to create an opportunity for children from however background to be celebrated as a unique and valued individual.

 

 

Project "ChasingLight"

Chasing Light is an initiative to create a platform for young minds to explore the unorthodox but practical methods to learn and understand the journey of education. The project gives them a reason to study as it helps them discover their dreams through examples and motivation. The entire concept is to introduce fields of work to children in a practical manner, thus giving them a hands on lesson on a possible career choice. To do so, facilitators will conduct lessons that will thrill and entice their minds to learn better and strive to their dreams. Lessons taught depends solely on the skill set of the volunteer teacher at the time.

 

Therefore, the Chasing Light project will be able to create a platform for volunteer teachers to provide knowledge in a practical manner on their skill set. This way passion through teaching will encourage passion in learning. Thus enabling young minds to chase their dreams.

 

This project is fully supported by the Kasih Welfare Association and all proceeds and donations will be directed to them. The funds will then be used by them to improve the children's life.
